It appears that the Manhattan District Attorney’s office may now be leaping into the abyss and pursuing an indictment of President Donald Trump, with the potential arrest being discussed for this coming week.
According to unverified sources, the Secret Service and the district attorney’s office are attempting to reach an agreement since the Secret Service will not abandon Trump. Apparently, the question of whether or not to handcuff Trump will be up to the Secret Service. The Democrats seem a little desperate to perp walk Trump and will do everything in their power to do this if an indictment arises.
Fox’s John Roberts makes the crucial point that the federal government refused to prosecute “or even really pursue” any charges related to Stormy Daniels. However, New York’s Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg decided to elevate the charge to a felony while downgrading so many other alleged crimes.
The Manhattan District Attorney has not confirmed this allegation concerning a probable indictment, but Trump has reportedly stated that he would be detained on Tuesday based on leaked information.
Elon Musk, the CEO of Twitter, said he believed this would backfire spectacularly and deliver Trump a landslide victory.
The fact that they are suddenly pursuing this matter after years of inaction suggests that they are attempting to harm Trump’s election prospects. Nonetheless, it will likely increase the perception that he is unfairly targeted. Due to the political nature of these claims, many who were previously undecided about whether to support Trump or another candidate would now support him.
Trump said he would turn himself in to authorities if charged with criminal charges, and he urged his faithful supporters to protest. What could go wrong, you ask? (cough: January 6)
In true fashion, with a good dose of martyrdom, the former president referred to the claims and probable arrest as a “fully debunked… fairytale.” Trump called on his supporters to “PROTEST, TAKE OUR NATION BACK!”
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) lashed out at the prospect of Trump’s detention, claiming in a lengthy tweet: This is what they do in communist nations!
According to Greene, Biden’s DOJ is cooperating with the Democratic Manhattan DA to arrest and falsely prosecute Donald Trump, the leading GOP presidential contender for 2024, with an obsolete misdemeanor. That is all political. This is what communist nations use to eliminate their political opponents. The Republicans in Congress must subpoena these communists and end this situation. Greene stated that her party has the authority to do so and to defund their salaries and departments. Greene said, “enough of this!”
On Saturday, former Vice President Mike Pence also accused Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg of “political prosecution” against former President Donald Trump.
Pence stated on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Saturday with host Matt Boyle that, like many Americans, he is simply taken aback. According to Pence, you have a Democratic party in that city that has practically decimated the criminal justice system and undermined the NYPD, and this is the Manhattan DA’s top priority? It smells like the political prosecution that they had suffered throughout the Russia hoax and the entire impeachment process.
In recent public pronouncements, Pence, a prospective opponent of Trump for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, has been extremely critical of the former president for his alleged participation in the Capitol Riots.
As former President Donald Trump stated that he would be arrested on Tuesday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy on Saturday accused Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg of an “outrageous abuse of power.” The Republican from California demanded that Congress quickly investigate the possibility of election tampering by politically motivated prosecutions aimed at Trump.
McCarthy remarked on Twitter, “Here we go again,” an appalling misuse of authority by a radical district attorney who lets deadly murderers go free while pursuing political revenge on President Trump. McCarthy stated that he was ordering the appropriate committees to investigate immediately to see if government dollars are being used to undermine our democracy by meddling with elections through “politically motivated prosecutions.”
