Seriously, Joe Biden and his Socialist Administration must be fact-checked daily. Recently, Joe Biden resorted to Twitter to allege that the wealthy pay an unjustly low tax. But, the president’s latest propaganda received a fact check label from Twitter users who provided proof that Biden’s ridiculous assertions were inaccurate. Apparently, Biden is still accustomed to the federal government controlling the fact-checking and censoring on most social media sites.
On March 18, Biden’s Twitter account claimed that the wealthy pay a 3% income tax. The tweet stated that he thinks all billionaires should pay their fair share of taxes. Biden noted that the fair share of taxes they should be paying was a minimum tax of 25%. Biden continued that it was about basic fairness.
The tweet now includes a caption that readers can add content they feel people should know. The fact-check contained a link to a TaxFoundation.org 2023 update with the information that this is false. In 2020, the average income tax rate was 13.6%. The top 1% of taxpayers paid a 25.99% average rate, more than eight times greater than the 3.1% avg rate paid by the poorest half of taxpayers. It rose from 20.1% in 2019 to 22.2% in 2020.
Musk responded to the Tweet by saying he paid 53% on his Telsa Stock options (40% Federal and 13% state). He also said that he paid “more income tax than anyone ever in the history of Earth for 2021 and will do that again in 2022.”
Biden is, as usual, a liar. The Twitter Files and a lawsuit by the attorneys general of Missouri and Louisiana revealed how YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook collaborated with the federal government to suppress American citizens. Moreover, Big Tech filters were used to protect Biden. For instance, the MRC (Media Research Center) Free Speech USA previously documented 646 occurrences in its CensorTrack database of pro-Biden suppression between March 10, 2020, and March 10, 2022. The total covered incidents from Biden’s presidential run through the first year of his presidency.
Biden’s Twitter lecture also seems a bit disingenuous considering that his administration has assured that the federal government would take the extraordinary step of bailing out the uber-rich depositors of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) up to any amount – well above the standard $250,000. Moreover, Biden’s terrible economic policies have severely impacted poor and middle-class people. According to economist Steve Cortes, real wages in the United States have been dropping for the past two years (throughout Biden’s administration). Yet in January, while Americans dug deep into their pockets to buy gas, President Biden offered to sell U.S. strategic oil reserves to China. Of course, the American public is now aware of the Biden family’s close ties to multiple Chinese businesses. The House committee is investigating several members of Biden’s family in regard to money they received from companies in China.
The best part is that Biden ran on the concept of having a transparent government. The Biden administration is one of the most opaque governments in the history of the U.S. It is especially disturbing when considering ongoing censorship and the weaponization of the Justice Department.
