On Thursday, in response to the news that a Manhattan grand jury had charged him, former President Donald Trump accused Democrats of both political persecution and electoral involvement.
“This is the greatest degree of Political Persecution and Election Interference in history,” the former president declared in a long statement. “Ever since I descended the golden escalator at Trump Tower, and even before I was inaugurated as your President, the Radical Left Democrats — the adversary of this country’s hard-working men and women – have been on a witch-hunt to destroy the Make America Great Again movement.”
Stormy Daniels was allegedly paid hush money prior to the 2016 presidential election and is at the center of Donald Trump’s criminal allegations. The inquiry was overseen by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, whose office filed the charges under seal on Thursday, according to The New York Times.
In the next few days, Trump is anticipated to be requested to surrender to the police. The details of the charges are yet unknown.
In a statement released on Thursday, the former president reminded Americans of the political persecutions he has endured at the hands of the rogue Democratic party. He went on to list all the witch hunts: “Russia, Russia, Russia; Mueller Hoax; Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine; Impeachment Hoax 1; Impeachment Hoax 2; illegal and unconstitutional Mar-a-Lago raid; and now this.
Trump went on to say the Democrats have lied, cheated, and stolen in their desire to ‘Get Trump,'” he said. He went on to say that now they’ve done the unthinkable: they’ve indicted a “completely innocent individual” in the act of obvious election interference.
Trump further highlighted that this has never occurred in the history of the United States.
Trump said that the Democrats had cheated several times over the years. There has never been a case in which a former President of the United States, a political opponent, and by far the leading Republican candidate for the 2024 presidency, has ever been prosecuted in the U.S., he stated. “Ever.”
According to the former president, Bragg was hand-picked and supported by George Soros. Trump stated that instead of halting the tremendous crime wave sweeping New York City, he is performing Brain-Dead Biden’s dirty work by ignoring the murders, burglaries, and assaults he should be focusing on.
Trump believes that this Witch Hunt will severely backfire on Brain-Dead Biden, he continued. The American public is fully aware of what the Radical Left Democrats are doing in our country, and everyone can clearly see it. Thus, “our Movement” and Party – unified and powerful – will first beat Alvin Bragg, and then “we will defeat Brain-Dead Biden.” Trump said they are going to throw out every last one of these Crooked Democrats so that “we can MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
Upon the revelation of the indictment, Florida’s Republican governor, Ron DeSantis, deemed the action “un-American” and said that he would not cooperate in the extradition of President Trump. He stated: The weaponization of the judicial system to accomplish a political objective inverts the rule of law. “That is unpatriotic.” The Soros-backed Manhattan district attorney has consistently manipulated the law to lessen felonies and justify illegal behavior. Yet, he is now straining the law in order to pursue a political opponent.
DeSantis said that Florida would not cooperate with an extradition request involving this Manhattan prosecutor sponsored by George Soros and his political agenda.
Trump further responded to the news on Thursday evening through his social media account, Truth Social: “That this is an attack on our country.” and a “continuing attack on our once-free and fair elections.” Trump added that the nation is in decline.
