Mackey Found Guilty Over A 2016 Anti-Hillary Clinton Meme, Faces Prison Time

Donald Trump has been charged with a felony simply for being Donald Trump and resisting the Left’s ultimate rule over everything. Yet, as Trump has often warned, they’re not after him; they’re targeting us, and he’s just in the way.

This Friday, the new Leftist banana republic regime targeted, simply for their opposition to that dictatorship, a 33-year-old Trump supporter named Douglass Mackey. Mackey was found guilty of election meddling and can face up to ten years in jail for a meme he posted during the 2016 election. You read that correctly: a meme.

During the 2016 campaign, Mackey, under the alias Ricky Vaughn, developed a following on Twitter with roughly “58,000 followers.” The number of followers is based on a Friday news release from the “Justice” Department. The MIT Media Lab placed Mackey as the 107th most significant influencer of the then-upcoming Presidential Election in a February 2016 analysis. As you can imagine, the Justice for Democrats Department didn’t bother to clarify what it means to be the 107th most important influencer of the 2016 presidential election. How did the DOJ arrive at this conclusion? Did it discover that Mackey/Vaughn influenced a specific number of individuals to alter their votes? Were 106 other influencers sway people’s votes more than Mackey’s?

These concerns must be addressed, given that Mackey was convicted on Friday by a federal jury in Brooklyn of Conspiracy Against Rights, for which he faces ten years in prison. Mackey’s “plot” was pretty straightforward, and the Department of Injustice’s language may sound serious. Heck, it conjures up images of Mackey meeting in a dark room with sinister figures to plot ways to sabotage voting machines and prevent people from entering polling locations. The reality is that what they’re talking about is a meme.

Vaughn posted a snapshot of what appeared to be a Clinton commercial but was a spoof of one. “Skip the line,” the caption stated. Vote at home. Send the word ‘Hillary’ to the number 59925.

According to the Leftists DOJ, Mackey conspired with other influential Twitter users and members of private online groups to disseminate fraudulent messages using social media platforms, including Twitter, which encouraged Hillary Clinton supporters to ‘vote’ by text message. This was a heinous crime, according to the Justice Department. Hundreds, if not millions, of people must have been duped by the 107th most powerful influencer in the 2016 Presidential Election to send an SMS and believe they had voted, right?

Wrong. According to a Post Article, the Justice Department could not prove that the meme duped anyone. Not one single person.

Nevertheless, at least one influencer on the opposing side did the exact same thing, was never caught or tried, and faces no prison time. Kristina Wong posted a video of a Trump supporter on November 8, 2016, election day, with the caption: Hello Trump Fans! TEXT in your vote instead of going to the polls during #Election2016! Text ballots are valid. Or, you may vote tomorrow on Super Wednesday! Kristina Wong was never charged, and her tweet is still up. Yet, she did precisely what Douglass Mackey did. The difference is that she had the foresight to do it against Trump rather than Clinton.

On the other hand, the rotten, corrupt, and political vestiges of the Justice Department were brimming with their own righteousness on Friday. U.S. Attorney Breon Peace declared a jury found Mackey guilty of attempting to prevent people from exercising their sacred right to vote during the 2016 Presidential Election.

During times like these, the contemporary American Left, one of the world’s most impious and God-hating political movements, loves to pretend to be religious. Still, Peace’s statement was a particularly appalling example of this phenom. Even worst is why aren’t the left-leaning censoring Democrats being held accountable for suppressing election influence data on Biden that would have dropped votes into the hands of Trump? Is that not the same? Did they not deny voters of legitimate data that might change the course of the election? Even more importantly is the fact that they knowingly violated the 1st amendment in their effort to influence the election in their favor. Not to mention that the people who allowed it to happen are also a party to this suppression and should be held accountable too.

This is why one party can’t have so much power. It wrecks the inherent system of checks and balances. Yes, it appears that we are becoming a banana republic. Pity anyone who dares to protest because they may be next.
