Beaumont Police Still Seeking Second Suspect in Fatal Food Mart Robbery

BEAUMONT, Texas – The Beaumont police are currently on the lookout for a second suspect involved in the robbery that resulted in the tragic death of a food mart clerk in Beaumont. The clerk, Sheikh Abir-Hossain, 34, succumbed to gunshot wounds sustained during the robbery, as confirmed by Beaumont police spokesperson Haley Morrow.

The incident occurred on Friday evening when two armed men entered Kris Food Mart, located at 3090 Gulf Ave., and held the clerk at gunpoint. Tragically, one of the suspects shot and killed the clerk before stealing cigarettes and fleeing the scene on foot.

Only three hours after the killing, Keandre Robinson, 19, was arrested in the 1600 block of Delaware Street and is now being held on an $800,000 bond for murder.

The police are urgently seeking information on the second suspect, described as wearing black jeans and a black hooded sweatshirt with the word “NERD” written on it at the time of the robbery. Anyone with knowledge of the suspect’s identity is urged to contact Beaumont police or submit tips to Southeast Texas Crime Stoppers.

This unfortunate incident has left the community in shock, and the police are committed to bringing all those responsible to justice. The investigation is ongoing, and the authorities are appealing to the public for any assistance that might lead to the apprehension of the remaining suspect.
