Teen Arrested After Deadly Attack on Family in Fresno County, Deputies Say

FRESNO, Calif. – A 14-year-old boy has been taken into custody by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office following a tragic incident that resulted in the death of his parents and injury to his sister. The incident, described as a “violent attack” by the Sheriff’s Office, took place on Wednesday on the 4700 block of Dunlap Road, near Miramonte.

According to the authorities, the 14-year-old is suspected of using multiple weapons to attack his mother, Se Vang, and his father, Lue Yang, both 37 years old. The boy’s 11-year-old sister was also injured in the incident and is expected to survive. Another family member, a seven-year-old boy, was present at the time but was unharmed.

Deputies responded to a 911 call from the residence at around 7:40 p.m. on Wednesday, reporting a break-in and an assault on the family members. Upon arriving, they found the two adults deceased and the injured 11-year-old girl, who was promptly taken to the hospital. Following further investigation, it was revealed that the 14-year-old had fabricated the story of a break-in and was responsible for the deadly attack.
