EL PASO, Texas – A neighborhood in Lower Valley is reeling after a violent dog attack left two people injured on Wednesday night. The victims, a 10-year-old and a 40-year-old, were both taken to the hospital for treatment.
A resident who wished to remain anonymous shared a video with ABC-7, capturing what she believes are the same two dogs responsible for the attacks. The graphic footage shows the dogs attacking and killing her family’s dog, before dragging the lifeless body away. According to the resident, the same two dogs have been trying to break into her property to reach her other dogs.
This is not the first time these dogs have caused harm. The deadly attack on the family dog was captured on video back in October, and was reported to Animal Control at the time. However, no action could be taken as the dogs could not be located.
Animal Control has confirmed that the two dogs involved in the recent attack have been euthanized. Residents are now on high alert, calling for better measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
The community is now grappling with the aftermath of these brutal attacks, emphasizing the need for stricter protocols in handling aggressive animals. The incident has sparked concerns about public safety and has prompted calls for authorities to take proactive steps in addressing dangerous dog behavior.
