Elderly Woman’s Capital Murder Suspect Accused of Subway Robbery in Mississippi

WILKINSON CO., Miss. – Authorities are on the hunt for Sammy Patrick, the suspect wanted for the murder of an elderly woman in Forest. The Scott County Sheriff’s Office has identified Patrick as the alleged perpetrator of this heinous crime, which took place in the 3000 block of Old Jackson Road. Furthermore, he is wanted on charges of capital murder.

In a new development, the Scott County Sheriff’s Office reported that Patrick was spotted robbing a Subway in Wilkinson County while armed. This incident occurred in the afternoon, shortly after the alleged murder. Woodville Police Chief Lemuel Rutledge provided details of the armed robbery, stating that it took place at a Subway located off Highway 61. Patrick was later seen refueling at a Shell gas station, driving a vehicle reported as stolen.

The stolen vehicle being driven by Patrick is a dark-colored Ford Ranger, and he was last seen heading north on Highway 61 towards Natchez. In response to the reported incidents, multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Mississippi Highway Patrol and the Louisiana State Police, are actively searching for Patrick.

The suspect, identified as Sammy Patrick, remains at large and is wanted for the murder of the elderly woman in Forest. In addition to this capital murder charge, he is also accused of robbing a Subway in Wilkinson County.
