Shooting Victim Dies in Spartanburg County Incident

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. – A tragic shooting incident in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, has resulted in the death of one of the victims, according to the Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office. Larry Gene Moore, a resident of Spartanburg, passed away while receiving treatment at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center on Tuesday.

The incident took place on December 21, 2023, at Kingswood Avenue in Spartanburg. As per the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call regarding the shooting at approximately 5:57 p.m. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals with gunshot wounds, both of whom were subsequently taken to the hospital for medical attention.

One of the witnesses at the scene stated that the suspect, who was reportedly brought to the house by one of the victims earlier in the day, fled the scene after the shooting. Despite efforts by the sheriff’s office to track down the suspect using K9s, they were unable to locate him.
