Urgent Appeal for Witnesses in Rayleigh High Street Assault Investigation

RAYLEIGH, England – A man was seriously injured in an assault in Rayleigh High Street early Sunday morning. The victim, who briefly lost consciousness, was rushed to the hospital and remains in serious condition with a life-threatening head injury.

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward as no arrests have been made. The incident occurred near the taxi rank in the high street, and officers are asking for anyone with information or footage to assist with their investigation.

Lisa Newport, Independent and Green Group councillor, expressed her shock at the attack and encouraged anyone with information to report it to the police. She also mentioned the presence of CCTV near the taxi ranks, which could potentially aid in the investigation.
