Convenience Store Robbery Turns Deadly in Fredericksburg: Police Seek Shooter

FREDERICKSBURG, Texas – The Fredericksburg police are on the lookout for a man who they believe shot and killed another man before robbing a convenience store on Tuesday night. The incident took place at the Kwikcheck Convenience Store on S. State Highway 16, where officers found a man with a gunshot wound. Despite the officers’ attempts to administer first aid, the man succumbed to his injuries.

According to the Fredericksburg Police Department, the male suspect entered the store, put on a white skull mask, and then shot the victim before demanding money from the clerk. The clerk complied and handed over the money from the cash register before the suspect fled the scene. Surveillance video from the store allowed officers to review the incident in detail.

The suspect was described as wearing a dark-colored, hooded, long-sleeved shirt or lightweight jacket, a baseball cap, blue jeans, and gloves, and was carrying a duffel bag. During the course of the incident, he put on a white-colored skull mask and brandished a gun. The suspect arrived at and left the store on foot.
