Matthews, N.C. – Two drug dealers have been sentenced to lengthy prison terms after pleading guilty in connection with an overdose death, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina.
Patrick Tylicki, a 32-year-old resident of Matthews, will serve 12 years in prison, while 28-year-old Charlotte resident Gregory Kirk was sentenced to nearly 20 years after both men entered guilty pleas in 2022.
Court records revealed that on January 26, 2021, Tylicki and Kirk sold fentanyl to an individual who subsequently died from an overdose. Despite knowing about the death, the two continued to engage in drug dealing activities, ultimately being apprehended by undercover agents.
A search warrant executed at Kirk’s residence led to the discovery of approximately 10,000 units of fentanyl and 13 pounds of marijuana.
