Detroit Stripper’s Daughter Resurrects Unresolved Murder Allegations in Viral TikTok

DETROIT, MICHIGAN – The daughter of Tamara Greene, a slain Detroit stripper, has posted a TikTok video that has resurrected allegations surrounding one of the city’s most infamous unsolved murders. Ashly Jackson claims that her mother was murdered because she was having an affair with former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick, a rumour that gained traction after a 2002 party at Kilpatrick’s Manoogian Mansion.

Jackson’s video has garnered nearly four million views on TikTok, in which she discusses her estimation of why and how her mother was murdered. Greene, also known as Strawberry, was killed in a drive-by shooting months after the alleged party, sparking widespread speculation about the motive behind her murder.

Allegations suggest that Kilpatrick’s wife assaulted Greene at the party after witnessing her giving Kilpatrick a lap dance. Greene was severely beaten and had to be picked up by emergency first responders. Then, in April 2003, Greene was shot to death while sitting in a car with her boyfriend. The gunfire came from a .40 caliber pistol, which was a standard-issue gun for Detroit police officers, further adding to the mystery surrounding her death.

The case of Greene’s murder garnered national attention when it was featured in the popular podcast “Crimetown” in 2019, shedding light on the allegations and suspicions surrounding the high-profile case. Despite ongoing efforts from Greene’s family and legal representative to prove that Kilpatrick obstructed the murder investigation, no one has been charged in connection with her death.

The TikTok video has reignited interest in the case, with Jackson expressing frustration at Kilpatrick’s release from prison after serving only seven years of a 28-year sentence for corruption crimes. The video has prompted discussions on social media and raised questions about the handling of the investigation into Greene’s murder, as well as Kilpatrick’s alleged involvement in the case.

Greene’s murder has remained one of Detroit’s most notorious unsolved murders for more than a decade, and the claims made in Jackson’s TikTok video have renewed calls for accountability and justice in the long-pursued case.
