Dacoits Involved in British Citizen Murder Killed in Rawalpindi Police Encounter

Rawalpindi, Pakistan: The Rawalpindi police reported the deaths of six dacoits, including four involved in the killing of a British citizen of Pakistani origin. The suspects were killed in two separate police encounters in the Race Course and Morgah police station areas. According to a police spokesperson, the dacoits were members of an inter-provincial gang and were responsible for multiple robbery incidents.

During the police operation, the suspects opened fire on the officers, resulting in a heavy crossfire that led to the deaths of the four dacoits. The gang had used police uniforms during their robbery activities and was known to have carried out similar crimes in Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. City Police Officer Syed Khalid Hamdani formed special teams to capture the accused after the murder of the British citizen during a robbery.

In addition to the four dacoits killed in the Race Course area, two others were killed in the jurisdiction of Morgah police station during another police encounter. The police recovered the victim’s belongings, as well as weapons used in other robberies, and police uniforms from the possession of the accused. It was also revealed that the gang had committed a robbery upon a citizen’s return from Canada.
