Tammy Nobles, the mother of Kayla Hamilton, an autistic young woman, expressed her anguish, blaming government agencies for failing to prevent her daughter’s rape and murder. The accused individual, with alleged ties to the MS-13 gang, has been charged but is awaiting trial.
Nobles made her impassioned remarks while appearing on “Fox & Friends First” before testifying at a hearing for Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas. Her testimony came amid ongoing concerns and criticism over the migrant crisis at the southern border.
Nobles emphasized that her daughter’s murderer had a criminal record in El Salvador and bore gang tattoos. She lamented the failure of the authorities to properly vet and check him, asserting that these oversights could have prevented her daughter’s tragic fate.
Republican lawmakers have also accused Mayorkas of negligence in handling the border crisis, highlighting concerns about record levels of migrant encounters. The House Homeland Security Committee held an impeachment hearing where Nobles testified as a witness.
