Brooklyn Home Invasion: Cops Nab One Suspect, Seek Another Suspect After Violent Attack That Left Two Men Injured

Brooklyn, NY – Detectives have arrested one suspect in a violent home invasion that took place in Sunset Park on Feb. 2, 2024, while the search for a second perpetrator continues. The invasion left one man Tasered and another shot multiple times. The suspects demanded money, then stole more than $4,100 in cash from the home.

The attack occurred at about 12:41 a.m. inside a home on the 700 block of 52nd Street in Sunset Park, where two crooks confronted two men. One suspect, identified as Chaoxin Tan, 21, from Quincy, MA, used a Taser to attack a 53-year-old man, while the other suspect shot a 41-year-old man multiple times in the shoulder and leg.

Both victims were rushed to Brookdale University Hospital, where they were in stable condition. Tan was picked up on the morning of Feb. 2 and charged with attempted murder, robbery, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon. However, his alleged accomplice remains at large.

Law enforcement described the suspect still at large as a man in a black bubble coat, black pants, and dark-colored sneakers.
