Prominent Shiv Sena Leader Shot and Killed on Facebook Live: The Dark Story Behind the Tragic Incident in Mumbai

Mumbai, India: A shocking incident unfolded on Facebook Live yesterday when Mauris Noronha fatally shot Abhishek Ghosalkar, a prominent leader of Shiv Sena UBT. The two had been engaged in a feud and were attempting to reconcile during the live video. Noronha, also known as Mauris ‘Bhai’, had gained recognition for his philanthropic efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic, but his decision to run for the upcoming corporator elections was met with opposition from Ghosalkar.

The situation escalated when Noronha faced legal troubles, including a rape case, which led to his arrest. Blaming Ghosalkar for his predicament, Noronha allegedly devised a plan to exact revenge, ultimately taking the life of Ghosalkar and then his own.

The video of the tragic incident quickly went viral, showing the moment Ghosalkar was shot in Noronha’s office, which is located in the northern suburb of Borivali (West). Two FIRs, one for murder and another for suicide, have been filed, with the Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch taking over the investigation.

Amidst this tragedy, the arrest of Mehul Parikh, who was present at the scene of the shootings, has raised questions about his possible involvement or prior knowledge of the events. Furthermore, the murder of Ghosalkar comes on the heels of another incident where a BJP MLA was caught on camera firing at a leader of a different faction.

Aaditya Thackeray, former state minister and the son of Uddhav Thackeray, spoke out about the escalating violence, expressing concern about the tarnishing of Maharashtra’s reputation and the fear it is instilling in people. These disturbing events are not only damaging the state’s image but also potentially deterring industry from investing in Maharashtra.
