Migrant Crisis Erupts: NY GOP Blames Democrat Policies for Violent Attacks

New York, NY – New York GOP lawmakers are raising concerns following a series of violent migrant attacks, calling the situation a crisis of “epic proportions.” These attacks have prompted these lawmakers to point the finger at President Biden and Governor Hochul’s policies.

According to Rep. Marcus Molinaro, R-N.Y., these policies have led to a humanitarian crisis and put innocent people at risk of being terrorized by criminals in New York. He emphasized the need to address the crisis by closing the border, repealing New York’s sanctuary state status, and imposing tougher penalties for violent offenders.

The surge in violent crimes involving migrants has also prompted Rep. Claudia Tenney, R-N.Y., to speak out against what she describes as “open border policies” supported by Democratic leadership. She stressed the need for prioritizing the safety of law-abiding citizens over the interests of these criminals.

Additionally, Rep. Nick Langworthy, R-N.Y., placed blame on New York City’s sanctuary city status for the escalating situation, referring to it as “disgusting.” He called on Governor Hochul to put an end to the chaos, highlighting the widespread impact of these policies on communities across the state.

Meanwhile, Rep. Nicole Malliotakis, R-N.Y., highlighted the alarming spike in migrant-related crimes over the past two weeks, citing incidents of assaults, robberies, and even murder. She criticized the city’s practice of releasing criminals back onto the streets, calling it a culmination of the disastrous policies at the city, state, and federal levels.

Malliotakis also called out President Biden’s immigration policies, as well as Governor Hochul and Mayor Adams for creating an environment that encourages migrants to come to New York and evade accountability for their actions.

The urgency of addressing the issue is underscored by a recent string of violent incidents involving migrants, including a brutal attack on two NYPD officers in Times Square and a shooting by a teenage migrant at a clothing store in New York City.

Despite the growing concern and calls for action from these lawmakers, Governor Hochul and Mayor Adams have yet to respond to the situation. This ongoing crisis has highlighted the need for immediate attention and decisive measures to address the surge in migrant-related crimes.
