Suffolk County Justice Orders High Bail for Indicted Defendants

Central Islip, New York – A series of arraignments have taken place before Supreme Court Justice Anthony S. Senft Jr. involving individuals facing criminal indictments. RAMIREZ CERRATO, CHAVEZ CAMPOS, SERPOS, GARCIA CORNEJO, JIMENEZ AVILA, and a minor have all had their bail determined by Justice Senft, with one individual, ZEPEDA PADILLA, remaining at large. The arraignments took place over the last week and each defendant was represented by legal counsel during the proceedings.

RAMIREZ CERRATO was ordered to be held on $500,000 cash, $1,000,000 bond, or $5,000,000 partially secured bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for March 4, 2024. CHAVEZ CAMPOS was ordered to be held on $250,000 cash, $500,000 bond, or $2,500,000 partially secured bond and is due back in court on February 23, 2024. SERPOS and GARCIA CORNEJO were both arraigned and each given different bail amounts, with their next court appearances set for February 23 and February 20, respectively. JIMENEZ AVILA and the minor were also arraigned and given their bail conditions, with court appearances scheduled for March 4, 2024.
