Phoenix Phoenix Man Admits to Shooting and Killing Parents in North Phoenix Home

PHOENIX – A man admitted to shooting and killing his parents in a home located in north Phoenix, near State Route 51 and Bell Road. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on February 12.

Upon arrival at the scene, officers found a man exiting the house who claimed that there were people dead inside. Subsequently, officers discovered a man and a woman dead from gunshot wounds. The victims were identified as Sam Miller, 73, and Marjorie Valentine, 72.

The caller, later identified as 38-year-old Jim Miller, was detained at the scene by the police. He confessed to detectives that he shot his parents sometime during the night. Jim Miller was officially arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder.
