Explosive Camper Fire Erupts in Harrison, Tennessee

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. – An early morning fire in Harrison resulted in a camper engulfed in flames and explosions, according to reports from the Highway 58 Volunteer Fire Department. The incident, which took place at 9131 North Hickory Valley Road, saw firefighters responding to the scene around 4 a.m. to find the camper ablaze near a house.

Upon arrival, the firefighters discovered the camper fully consumed by fire, with concerns mounting over the possibility of anyone being trapped inside. The presence of multiple propane tanks within the camper led to several explosions, intensifying the situation for emergency responders.

Homeowners at the scene informed the fire crews that no individuals were believed to be inside the camper at the time of the fire. However, a power cord connected to the camper raised questions regarding the circumstances leading up to the blaze. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries as a result of the incident, as confirmed by the Highway 58 VFD.

Following the incident, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office has initiated an investigation to determine the root cause of the camper fire.
