According to reports, the victim was nearly involved in a collision with a man driving a white Volkswagen Caddy as they both exited a local McDonald’s via Burtonhead Road on St Helens Linkway. The suspect then followed the victim in a white Volkswagen transporter van onto Scorecross Lane, where an argument ensued and the victim was assaulted, resulting in multiple fractures to his face requiring hospital treatment.

Detectives described the suspect as a tall male over 6 feet 4 inches with a muscular build, bald head, and a long brown wiry beard.
