Wilson, North Carolina – The Wilson Youth Soccer Association ’06 Girls team has secured their spot in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship Series for the third consecutive year. Competing at the National League P.R.O. event in Tampa, Florida, over the weekend, the team clinched victory with a flawless 3-0 record.
This remarkable achievement marks a historic moment for the Explosion as they swept all three events at a national tournament for the first time. With their impressive performance, the WYSA ’06 Girls earned a place in the U19 Girls Silver Bracket by triumphing with three consecutive shutout wins.
Head coach Randol Mendoza commended the team for their stellar display, emphasizing the hard work and dedication they have put in over the past four years. Despite facing challenges and changes in the lineup, including the absence of key players, the team showcased resilience and unity to secure their spot in the national championship series.
