Arrest: Suspect Charged in Northeast Side Workplace Murder Case

San Antonio, Texas – A local man was fatally shot near his workplace in late February on the Northeast side, prompting a search for those responsible for the crime. The tragic incident involved the execution-style murder of a man by two individuals outside his workplace, leading to an arrest and charges of capital murder.

Authorities reported that 21-year-old Kia Dotson was apprehended on Saturday in connection with the shooting, which took place around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 29 near the 6900 block of Northeast Loop 410. The victim, identified as 27-year-old Cesar Garcia, was discovered lifeless near the entrance of his workplace, where evidence of Glock switches and shell casings was found.

Surveillance footage provided crucial details of the events leading up to the shooting, showing the victim encountering two suspects before a confrontation ensued. One suspect, dressed in all black, brandished a firearm against the victim’s head, while the other, in a red hoodie and light-colored joggers, opened fire multiple times. Notably, the suspects did not attempt to rob the victim.

During the altercation, a lookout driver remained in a black Hyundai Sonata without a front bumper, serving as the suspect vehicle. San Antonio Police are urging anyone with information on the suspects to come forward and assist in the investigation.
