Homicide at Illegal Party on San Antonio’s Southwest Side: Bexar County Sheriff Investigating

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas – Authorities in Bexar County are currently investigating a tragic homicide that took place on San Antonio’s Southwest Side. The incident occurred during the early hours of Saturday morning at a party located on the 8200 block of Old Pearsall Road.

Sheriff Javier Salazar of the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office revealed during a press conference that the victims were in attendance at an unlawful gathering. It remains unclear whether the victims were acquainted with each other prior to the event.

According to the sheriff’s office, the party drew a large crowd as a result of extensive promotion on social media. Upon arrival, around 20 witnesses cooperated with deputies in providing statements.

Tragically, a young woman in her early 20s lost her life at the scene after being shot, while a 29-year-old man sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Sheriff Salazar indicated that a dispute had occurred before the shooting took place.

During the investigation, law enforcement obtained footage from the party showing the woman’s final moments as she succumbed to her injuries. Sheriff Salazar expressed deep concern over witnesses who reportedly filmed the victim’s final breaths as she lay dying, calling the behavior disturbing and cold-blooded.

In a subsequent development, an unidentified male suspect was taken into custody after returning to the scene hours later. The individual was arrested under an unrelated controlled substance charge and was found to be in possession of a weapon, although his connection to the deadly shooting remains under investigation.

Authorities have urged anyone with pertinent information regarding the incident to contact the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office. As the investigation unfolds, more details are expected to emerge regarding this tragic event on the Southwest Side of San Antonio.
