Assaulted: Edmonton Police Hunt for Six Suspects in Brutal Attack at Churchill LRT Station

EDMONTON, Alberta – Authorities in Edmonton are on the lookout for six suspects involved in a violent assault at the Churchill LRT station last month. The incident occurred on February 24th when a 64-year-old man was brutally attacked, robbed, and left with serious injuries by a group of assailants.

According to Edmonton police, the victim was waiting for a train on the ground-level platform at Churchill LRT station when he was approached by one individual around 5:30 a.m. A verbal exchange took place between the victim and the initial suspect before the situation escalated. Five other men joined in on the attack, resulting in the victim being knocked to the ground, beaten, and robbed before the perpetrators fled the scene.

Emergency medical services responded to the scene and provided treatment to the victim before transporting him to the hospital for his injuries, which were described as serious but not life-threatening. So far, only one suspect has been identified in connection to the assault. A warrant has been issued for Travis Damian Houle, 35, who faces charges of aggravated assault, robbery, and failure to comply with a probation order.

Authorities are now seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the remaining five suspects, who were captured on video surveillance. One of the male suspects was armed with pepper spray, while another was seen riding a bicycle. Additionally, there was one female in the group of assailants.
