ST. LOUIS, Missouri – A drug dealer faces first-degree murder and armed criminal action charges in the killing of a doctoral student from India at Washington University. Glenn Bailey, 46, is in custody in connection with the death of the victim on February 27 in the city’s Academy neighborhood.

The victim, identified as Amarnath Ghosh by Bollywood actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee, was pursued and shot at the intersection of Delmar Boulevard and Clarendon Avenue. To support Ghosh’s family, a GoFundMe campaign raised over $15,000, exceeding funeral costs. Funds beyond the expenses will be allocated to honoring Ghosh’s memory through a memorial or charitable cause he supported, as stated in the account.
