Brothers make horrifying discovery of 3-year-old boy’s murder in Brooklyn apartment

New York City, New York – The tragic death of 3-year-old Denim Brown in a Brooklyn bathtub has left the community in shock. Kevin James, 29, stepson of the victim’s mother, was charged with murder, assault, and endangering the welfare of a child in connection with the brutal incident.

According to authorities, Denim was left in the care of a 66-year-old neighbor by his 24-year-old mother while she went out for dinner. The neighbor had been watching the child on and off for over two years, providing a sense of familiarity and trust in the arrangement.

The devastating discovery of Denim’s lifeless body was made by James’ own brothers. It was revealed that James had taken the toddler to a vacant apartment across the hall, where the fatal assault took place. Denim’s cause of death was determined to be drowning and blunt force trauma.

After returning to his own apartment, James’ brothers noticed the child was missing and launched a search, leading to the heartbreaking discovery. Despite efforts to save him, Denim could not be revived and was rushed to Kings County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

James, who had no known history of mental illness, was arrested by authorities upon his return to the building. Previous records indicated a past arrest for petty larceny and possession of a weapon over the legal limit.

Following his arraignment in Brooklyn Criminal Court, James was denied bail and remains in custody as the investigation into the tragic death of little Denim continues to unfold. The community mourns the loss of a young life as they seek justice for Denim Brown.
