Speeding Father Faces Murder Charges in Crash That Killed 3 Including 5-Year-Old Daughter

Law enforcement officials in Gwinnett County, Georgia, have brought forth severe charges against a father following a tragic accident that claimed the lives of three individuals, including his own 5-year-old daughter. Aaron Vaughn, aged 30, is facing charges of murder and vehicular homicide in connection with the incident.

The devastating crash occurred when Vaughn was allegedly driving at speeds exceeding 100 miles per hour in a residential area with a posted speed limit of 45 miles per hour. His Chevrolet Camaro collided with a BMW, resulting in the deaths of the BMW’s driver and passenger, identified as 46-year-olds Armas Harding and Laura Rueda.

Tragically, Vaughn’s two young daughters, aged 5 and 6, were also in the vehicle at the time of the crash. While both girls were wearing seat belts, they were not secured in child safety seats as mandated by law. The 5-year-old, Aura Camarono, succumbed to her injuries after being transported to Scottish Rite for medical attention.

Additionally, a 28-year-old woman who was seated in the front of Vaughn’s Camaro sustained serious injuries and remains hospitalized for treatment. Vaughn now faces a multitude of charges, including three counts of homicide by vehicle, two counts of transporting a child without proper restraints, and reckless driving. He was apprehended and booked into the Gwinnett County Jail following the incident.

Heartbroken family members of Aura have described her as a joyful and beloved child whose life was tragically cut short. A GoFundMe page has been set up by the family to honor Aura’s memory and help with the unexpected expenses incurred due to this devastating loss.

Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the full extent of the events leading up to the tragedy. The community mourns the loss of the victims and hopes for justice to prevail in the wake of this horrific incident.
