Football Coach Adrian Goodrich Shot and Killed in Binghampton, Arrest Made for Reckless Homicide

Memphis, Tennessee – Following the tragic death of beloved football coach Adrian Goodrich in Binghampton last month, authorities have made an arrest in connection with the shooting. Goodrich, a former coach at Bellevue Middle School, was fatally shot on February 22 in crossfire, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

On Saturday, March 23, police arrested 55-year-old Harold Harris, charging him with reckless homicide and being a convicted felon in possession of a handgun related to Goodrich’s death. The incident took place on February 22 around 9 p.m. at Scott Street and Yale Avenue, where officers found Goodrich unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his head.

Court documents reveal that a heated argument between two men, one of whom was Harris, escalated into gunfire at the scene. Tragically, Goodrich, who was not involved in the altercation, was struck and killed by the gunfire. A witness later came forward, stating that Harris had begun shooting at him as he exited his vehicle, with Goodrich standing behind him when he was fatally shot in the head.

The other individual involved in the shooting left the scene in his car following the altercation. Harris was apprehended by officers on Boston Street in Memphis following the investigation.
