**Subway Shooting in Bronx Leaves 1 Dead, 5 Injured: NYPD Launches Manhunt**

The Bronx, New York – A fatal shooting occurred on Monday in the Bronx subway, resulting in one person dead and five others injured, as per the police reports.

The incident took place at the Mount Eden Avenue station around 4:35 p.m., initiated by a conflict between two groups of teenagers on a No. 4 train that escalated to the northbound platform, revealed the NYPD.

Mayor Eric Adams indicated that the shooting was not a random act but rather stemmed from an ongoing dispute. The authorities are now on the lookout for the suspect or suspects involved in the altercation.

Transit Chief Michael Kemper of the NYPD mentioned that the shooting began as the train arrived at the station, causing panic among passengers who were exiting the train onto the platform. The gunfire continued on the platform, resulting in injuries to the victims.

Tragically, a 34-year-old man lost his life in the shooting, while a 14-year-old girl, a 15-year-old boy, as well as a 28-year-old man, a 29-year-old woman, and a 71-year-old man sustained injuries. Some of the victims are believed to have been innocent bystanders caught in the crossfire, as per the police.

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident. The NYPD is actively reviewing surveillance footage to identify the perpetrator responsible for the deadly shooting.
