Clayton County Sheriff Leads Efforts to Capture Killer of Teen in Mass Shooting

Clayton County, Georgia – Sheriff Levon Allen of Clayton County has made it his mission to seek justice for 19-year-old Kiyre Allen, who was tragically killed in a mass shooting in August 2022. The incident occurred outside the Parks at Leeds off of Riverdale Road, where Kiyre was one of five individuals shot. Just a few months prior to the shooting, Kiyre had graduated from Creekside High School, leaving his family in shock and grief.

In an effort to give back to the community and provide a safe space for youth, Sheriff Allen participated in an event called “Shoot Hoops, Not Guns.” The event, organized by Catrice, aimed to promote positivity and deter violence among young people. During the event, Sheriff Allen not only coached in the annual basketball game but also vowed to actively assist in the search for Kiyre’s killer.

Following the tragic loss of their son, Kiyre’s family has stepped up by offering a $25,000 reward for any information leading to the apprehension of the suspect responsible for his death.
