POMPANO BEACH, Fla. – A tragic incident unfolded on Monday near a convenience store in South Florida, resulting in one young boy losing his life and three others sustaining gunshot wounds, according to authorities.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office reported that the shooting took place around 5 p.m. EDT in the 1800 block of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Pompano Beach. Deputies responded to the scene to find the boy with a gunshot wound, who was rushed to the hospital by Pompano Beach Fire Rescue paramedics but, unfortunately, was pronounced dead.
Reports from local news outlets indicated that the shooting occurred in close proximity to a convenience store on the street. The three other individuals who were wounded in the incident were also taken to hospitals for treatment. The authorities have not disclosed the ages or genders of the victims.
