Atlanta, Georgia – Following a gas leak that triggered an explosion in southwest Atlanta, an investigation has been launched into the incident. The blast occurred at Po Freddie’s BBQ on Campbellton Road, causing significant damage to the restaurant.
Po Freddie Jones, the owner of the establishment, expressed his devastation at the loss, comparing it to wartime experiences in Vietnam. Atlanta Gas Light revealed that a contractor, not affiliated with the company, damaged a 6-inch natural gas line while installing underground fiber cables in the area. Despite the damage, neighboring businesses such as Tires and Things, owned by Babacar Fal, were spared from the explosion.
