Assault at LRT Station: Police Search for Suspects in Brutal Attack

Edmonton, Alberta – Police in Edmonton, Alberta, are actively seeking several individuals following a vicious assault at an LRT station last month. The incident occurred at Churchill Station on February 24th, where a 64-year-old man was waiting for a train on the platform at 5:30 a.m.

Authorities reported that the victim was approached by a man, leading to a brief verbal exchange before a violent attack ensued. The 64-year-old was knocked to the ground and assaulted by the man, with five other individuals joining in on the attack and ultimately robbing the victim before fleeing the scene.

As a result of the assault, the victim sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was subsequently hospitalized for treatment. While two individuals have already been taken into custody, a warrant has been issued for a third individual. However, investigators are still working to identify three other individuals involved in the attack.

Authorities have released a photo depicting the three unidentified individuals involved in the assault. Descriptions of the suspects include details such as their physical build, clothing, and accessories worn at the time of the incident.

In addition to the search for the unidentified assailants, warrants have been issued for aggravated assault, possessing an offensive weapon dangerous to the public, and robbery for Markus Lee Gladue, 21. Moreover, 28-year-old Brady Rodney Descroches-Smith has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery.

Descroches-Smith, at the time of his arrest, was also wanted for first-degree murder by the Grande Prairie RCMP. Another individual, Travis Damian Houle, 35, has been charged with aggravated assault, robbery, and failure to comply with a court order.
