Assault: Edmonton Police Identify Three Suspects in Violent LRT Station Attack

Edmonton, Canada – Edmonton police have identified three out of six suspects involved in a violent attack and robbery of a 64-year-old man at the Churchill LRT station last month. The victim was waiting for a train at the ground-level platform when he was approached by a man, leading to a brief verbal exchange that escalated into a brutal assault involving six assailants. The victim was knocked to the ground, beaten, and robbed before the suspects fled the scene. Thankfully, emergency medical services were able to treat the victim and transport him to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Surveillance footage of the group was released by investigators, leading to the arrest of two individuals, while a third suspect remains at large with warrants out for their arrest. The police are still working to identify the remaining three suspects and are seeking information from the public. One of the male suspects was armed with pepper spray, while another was seen riding a bicycle. Additionally, there was a female present in the group.

One of the identified suspects, Markus Lee Gladue, 21, is wanted on warrants for aggravated assault, possession of an offensive weapon dangerous to the public, and robbery. Another suspect, Travis Damian Houle, 35, has been charged with aggravated assault, robbery, and failure to comply with a probation order. A third suspect, Brady Rodney Desroches-Smith, 28, was charged with aggravated assault and robbery and was also wanted in connection to a first-degree murder case in Grande Prairie.
