Tragic Incident: Port St. Lucie Teacher Fatally Shot by Estranged Husband in West Palm Beach

Port St. Lucie, Florida – A tragic incident unfolded in West Palm Beach on Friday, where a beloved teacher, Jamie Felix, was fatally shot by her estranged husband, Ray Felix, before he took his own life. The heartbreaking event has left the community in mourning, as details of the incident continue to unravel.

Authorities reported that Jamie, 45, was found dead in the parking lot of a motel, while her estranged husband, Ray, 60, was later discovered deceased outside a rental car facility. According to Port St. Lucie police, Jamie was a dedicated teacher at Manatee Academy K-8 School, where she impacted the lives of many students and colleagues.

Prior to the tragic events, coworkers of Jamie became concerned after receiving a suspicious email from her. Detectives later confirmed that Ray had coerced Jamie into sending the email, leading to further investigation into the situation.
