Walmart Employee Stabbed to Death, Suspect in Custody for First-Degree Murder in Northern Illinois

Rockford, Illinois – An 18-year-old Walmart employee tragically lost their life in a violent attack at a store in Rockford, Illinois on Sunday night. Reports indicate that the incident occurred at around 6 p.m. at the retailer’s store located near the Wisconsin state line.

Law enforcement officials from the Rockford Police Department responded to the scene after receiving reports of a Walmart employee who had sustained a life-threatening stab wound during the attack. The victim, whose identity has not been disclosed as of early Monday morning, was working inside the store at the time of the assault.

Despite being rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment, the young worker ultimately succumbed to their injuries. The Rockford Police Department identified the suspected assailant as 28-year-old Timothy Delanostorm Carter from Cabery, Illinois, approximately 140 miles southeast of the crime scene. Additional charges may also be forthcoming as the investigation progresses.

Currently, Timothy Carter remains in custody without bail, as indicated by online records from the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office.
