Woman Fatally Shot in Dayton Identified as Montanae Davis; Suspect in Custody

Dayton, Ohio – A tragic shooting in the 700 block of Torrington Place claimed the life of Montanae Davis, a 26-year-old woman who was identified by the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of the morning, prompted a response from Dayton Police and medics after receiving reports of a shooting.

Prior to the shooting, a harrowing 911 call was made by a woman believed to be the victim, detailing threats from an ex-boyfriend named Jamartay Brown.
