**Teens** Clash in Violent **Fight** at The Banks in Cincinnati

CINCINNATI, OHIO – Chaos erupted at The Banks in Cincinnati on Sunday night as police responded to reports of over 300 teenagers congregating at Smale Park, according to the Cincinnati Police Department. The evening took a violent turn as large groups of teens began gathering around 8:30 p.m., leading to a scene that alarmed onlookers and law enforcement.

A video capturing the disturbing incident, shared on the Cincinnati FOP Facebook page, depicted a frenzy of teens running onto the street near the park and the John A. Roebling Suspension Bridge. In the video, two teenagers engaged in physical altercations while others crowded around, shouting and cheering. The situation escalated further when a group of teens surrounded a car on the street, prompting what sounded like the use of a stun gun or Taser, causing the crowd to scatter in panic.

Among the chaos, one individual was taken into custody by the police. Efforts were made to disperse the large crowd of teenagers, directing them towards Fountain Square. Several additional arrests were made for “disorderly conduct” as authorities worked to restore order amidst the escalating tensions.

FOP President Ken Kober expressed concerns over the lack of accountability among the teenagers involved in such incidents, noting that some of them displayed a disregard for consequences. Retired officer Dan Hils echoed Kober’s sentiments, attributing the behavior to a lack of structure in the juveniles’ lives and a leniency in the justice system for underage offenders.

Kober emphasized the importance of holding parents accountable for the actions of their children, highlighting a perceived failure in the juvenile justice system to enforce consequences effectively. The incident at The Banks serves as a stark reminder of the challenges faced in addressing youth violence and the need for a multifaceted approach involving not just law enforcement but also parental responsibility and community support.
