Bullet Tragedy: Michigan Man Killed in Kalamazoo Shooting

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – A tragic incident unfolded on the northside of Kalamazoo, Michigan, resulting in the death of Mark Jackson, 53, from New Baltimore. The Kalamazoo Department of Public Safety reported that Jackson was fatally struck by a stray bullet that pierced through the front door of the apartment he was staying in.

The authorities responded to a call reporting shots fired near Interfaith Boulevard and Woodward Avenue late in the evening. Upon arrival, they were met with a chaotic scene, including a crashed car with multiple bullet holes, shell casings scattered, and a small group of bystanders.

Despite efforts to save him, Jackson succumbed to his injuries shortly after arriving at the hospital. The shooter allegedly targeted passengers in a nearby car, inadvertently causing the fatal injury to Jackson as a bullet penetrated the apartment’s front door.
