Deposition Tragedy: Las Vegas Attorney and Wife Killed in Summerlin Shooting

Las Vegas, Nevada – A tragic incident occurred during a deposition in Summerlin, where a Las Vegas attorney and his newlywed wife lost their lives due to multiple gunshot wounds. The Clark County coroner’s office confirmed the deaths of Dennis Prince, 57, and Ashley Prince, 30, and declared them as homicides.

The couple, who were parents to an infant, were tragically killed inside the offices of Prince Law Group. Dennis Prince was representing his wife in a child custody dispute with her ex-husband, Dylan Houston. Unexpectedly, Las Vegas attorney Joseph Houston II, 77, representing his son in the case, unleashed gunfire during the deposition, ultimately ending his own life.

According to the coroner’s office, Joseph Houston’s cause of death was determined to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. This shocking tragedy unfolded as the deposition commenced, with Houston abruptly shooting Dennis Prince four times before taking his own life.

Lisa Rasmussen, another attorney present during the attack, was representing Joseph Houston’s wife, Katherine, who was slated to be questioned during the deposition. Dylan Houston, also a Las Vegas attorney, had filed for divorce from Ashley in October 2021 after a four-year marriage, leading to ongoing custody disputes over their two young children.
