Missouri Teen ICU Attack Revealed: Text Message Battle Before Brutal School Beating

ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – The father of a teenager who was brutally beaten outside a Missouri school last month has revealed the text message exchange that led to the violent attack. Kaylee Gain, 16, suffered a skull fracture and brain injuries after the incident near her high school on 8 March.

A month after the attack, Kaylee’s father shared messages between his daughter and her alleged attacker, shedding light on the events that preceded the assault. The messages revealed an agreement to meet and settle their dispute through physical confrontation.

Despite the violent outcome, both families acknowledged that it was a regrettable decision to resort to violence. Investigators found that the text exchange between the two teenagers showcased hostility on both sides, dispelling any notion of one-way bullying.

The altercation, captured on camera and circulated on social media, resulted in Kaylee’s hospitalization and the arrest of a 15-year-old girl on assault charges. The teenager, whose identity has been withheld, awaits a decision on possible charges as an adult.

After weeks in critical condition, Kaylee has made progress in her recovery, undergoing therapy sessions to regain speech and movement abilities. Although she struggles with memory loss related to the incident, Kaylee recognizes her father and has shown signs of improvement in her physical health.

In addition to the recent incident, it was revealed that Kaylee had been involved in another altercation the day before, resulting in suspensions for both parties involved. The situations highlight the challenges faced by teenagers in resolving conflicts peacefully and the serious consequences of resorting to violence.

As the community awaits legal proceedings, Kaylee and her family continue to navigate the aftermath of the traumatic event, striving for justice and healing in the wake of the disturbing assault near Hazelwood East High School.
