TROUP COUNTY, Ga. – Tragedy struck in Troup County on Sunday night, where a deadly car accident occurred as a result of what authorities believe was a drag racing incident. The Georgia State Patrol has stated that the fatal crash was a direct consequence of drag racing that took place in LaGrange. Troup County Coroner Erin Hackley has confirmed the identities of the victims as two LaGrange residents, adding a somber note to the unfolding events.

The collision occurred when one of the racing vehicles, believed to be an S-10 Chevrolet, collided with a Chevrolet Trailblazer that was apparently there to spectate the race.
