ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. – In the early hours of the morning on North Poindexter Street, tragedy struck when gunshots rang out, leading to a police-involved shooting. The Elizabeth City Police Department reported that a 33-year-old man, identified as Byran Christopher White, had allegedly shot another man, 39-year-old Cory Christopher Revelle, prompting a police response.
Responding to the sound of gunfire, an Elizabeth City police officer approached White and instructed him to drop his weapon. Despite repeated commands, White failed to comply, resulting in the officer firing his weapon.
