Bengaluru, India – A tragic incident unfolded in the Jayanagar area of Bengaluru, where a woman was fatally stabbed by her former boyfriend. The suspect, identified as T Suresh, met his demise after being struck with a stone by the woman’s mother. The victims were Anusha, aged 24, and Suresh, aged 44, residing in different neighborhoods within the city.
According to police reports on Thursday, Suresh succumbed to his injuries on the scene following the altercation. The relationship between the two had a tumultuous history, with known ties dating back five years to their employment at an event management firm, as disclosed by law enforcement officials.
Initially posing as single, Suresh engaged in a romantic relationship with Anusha under false pretenses of marriage. When Anusha discovered his deceitful marital status with two children, she decided to distance herself from him. The confrontation that led to the fatal stabbing took place in a local park, resulting in tragedy and loss of lives.
An eyewitness account revealed that the mother of Anusha, suspecting foul play when her daughter left to meet someone in the park, intervened just in time to witness the brutal attack. In a desperate attempt to save her daughter, she resorted to using a stone to defend Anusha, inadvertently causing Suresh’s fatal injury in the process.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Lokesh Bharamappa Jagalasar confirmed the tragic incident occurred around 4:45 pm at Sarakki Park in Jayanagar. Anusha, described as a caretaker, and Suresh, employed by an event management company, faced untimely deaths, leading to the registration of two separate cases by the police in response to the harrowing situation.
