Durham Man Found Dead Inside Car Leads to Fifth Arrest in Murder Case

Durham, North Carolina – The investigation into the shooting death of Semar Barbour, a 19-year-old man from Durham who went missing in October and was later found dead in a car in Morrisville, has resulted in a fifth person being charged in connection with his murder. Barbour’s body was discovered inside a vehicle on Walnut Woods Drive in Morrisville after being reported missing for several weeks. Durham Police had previously revealed that Barbour was killed at a residence on Delray Street.

Recently, Durham Police arrested Yakir Ben-Zion Lee, 19, and charged him with conspiracy to commit murder in relation to Barbour’s death. Lee is currently being held on a $50,000 secured bond at the Durham County Jail. Additionally, four other individuals have been arrested in connection with this case in recent days.

Nakia Montell Williams, 48, and Phillip Maurice Williams, 18, are facing charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder. Theodore Cash, 68, and his wife, Shelia Frazier Cash, 68, both from Durham, have also been charged with accessory after the fact. These four suspects made their first court appearances following their arrests.
