Teenage Girls Caught on Video in Brutal Assault at Henderson Bus Station in West Auckland

Henderson, Auckland – A disturbing video depicting a violent assault on a teenage girl outside the Henderson bus station in West Auckland has gone viral on social media. The footage, recorded on a Saturday afternoon, shows a group of teenage girls assaulting another girl, knocking her to the ground while others punch and stomp on her. The video was accompanied by captions boasting about the attack, with the perpetrators hailing from Waitak.

Following the incident, a concerned individual, who wished to remain anonymous, disclosed to sources that the same group of girls had attacked her daughter earlier at Henderson Mall. The police confirmed their response to the incident, revealing that two young individuals were arrested on the day of the attack and that further investigations led to the identification of two more suspects.

This violent occurrence is part of a troubling series of attacks near or on public transport in Auckland. Recently, two teenage girls were assaulted by a group of six individuals on a bus in Albany, with police taking action to seize a weapon from one of the offenders. The victims were left traumatized, prompting one to express fear and unease about taking the bus in the future.

Incidents involving intimidating and violent behavior by groups of young people in and around Albany station have been reported in the past. Tragically, a young man lost his life after being stabbed at the station in broad daylight last year. In response to these escalating concerns, Auckland Transport and police have stepped up security measures at North Shore bus stations.

Rachel Cara, Auckland Transport’s general manager of public transport operations, emphasized the importance of creating a safe transport network for all passengers, particularly children and vulnerable individuals. Collaborating with law enforcement, the transport authority has increased patrols and security presence at stations and is committed to implementing safety improvements based on police recommendations.

The community remains on edge as authorities work to address the recurring incidents of violence, aiming to ensure the safety and well-being of all public transport users in the region.
