Yukon, Oklahoma – A tragic incident unfolded in Oklahoma City, leaving a 10-year-old boy to discover the lifeless bodies of his mother, father, and three older brothers. Authorities suspect the horrific event to be a murder-suicide, with the father allegedly carrying out the heartbreaking act.

According to the Oklahoma City Police Department, the father is believed to have systematically gunned down his sons after fatally shooting his wife. Master Sgt. Gary Knight stated that the children were “hunted down and killed,” emphasizing the gravity of the situation during a press conference.

In a strange turn of events, the father spared his youngest son, the 10-year-old who ultimately contacted the authorities. The reasons behind leaving the boy unharmed remain a mystery, as authorities continue to investigate the chilling episode.

Among the victims were a 39-year-old female, identified as the mother of the children and the wife of the suspect, a 42-year-old male suspected of carrying out the shootings, an 18-year-old male, a 14-year-old male, and a 12-year-old male who was the youngest victim. The family tragedy unfolded at their residence near Yukon, prompting the young boy to notify the police on Monday morning.

Sgt. Knight mentioned that the suspect engaged in a confrontation with his wife, resulting in her tragic death. Subsequently, he proceeded to harm his sons before ultimately taking his own life. The motive behind the senseless killings remains unknown, as police work diligently to piece together the events leading to the devastating outcome.

Despite the lack of prior reports of domestic issues or violence involving the family, authorities are delving deeper into their history to shed light on what led to such a heartbreaking incident.
