**Stabbing Terror: CCTV Captures Violent Offender Preparing to Attack Outside Pub**

Kirkby-in-Ashfield, England – A violent offender, Tyrone James, was captured on CCTV footage as he prepared to stab a man outside a pub in Kirkby-in-Ashfield. Later jailed for the incident, James had initially punched a man in the face before carrying out the “savage” knife attack, leaving the victim with life-altering injuries from stab wounds to his torso and back on a Sunday in October last year.

The brutal stabbing occurred right after James assaulted another man outside the same pub, both incidents caught on camera. Through meticulous review of CCTV footage and the use of Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, police were able to locate James, tracking him, his car, and phone to the scene of the attack when it happened.

Further investigations revealed that James had been consuming alcohol at various pubs in the Kirkby area that night, reportedly making threats to others before leaving but returning shortly after, this time dressed differently and seen on CCTV footage placing a knife in his waistband.

Wearing a balaclava, James then punched his initial victim before carrying out a sustained attack on the second man, eventually fleeing the scene by car. Following his arrest, James, who pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, and assault, appeared before Leicester Crown Court for sentencing, where he was handed an eight-year prison term.

Detective Inspector James Oakton of Nottinghamshire Police described the attack as “savage,” emphasizing the impact of James’ choices that night that led to a victim suffering severe injuries and James himself being incarcerated. The violent actions captured on CCTV underscore the importance of law enforcement efforts in swiftly apprehending dangerous offenders.
